It’s Loneliness Awareness Week.

Do you know a carer who might be feeling lonely? 92% of us find it difficult to tell others we are lonely.

Loneliness is not the same as social isolation. People can be isolated, yet not feel lonely. People can feel lonely and yet be surrounded by people. This means that it can be different for all of us.

Whether you’re caring for someone or know someone who is, it can leave many people dealing with loneliness and isolation.

How can you reach out to someone in your community this week? It could be something as small as sharing a smile on the street or a quick chat with a friend or neighbour.

This Loneliness Awareness Week we want you to know you’re not alone.
