Royal British Legion-Admiral Nurse Service for Dementia Carers

How Admiral Nurses help those living with dementia

Registered nurses who specialise in dementia form a vital part of the our support network.
They have always seen the need to support those in the Armed Forces community living with dementia, and their carers.

That’s why they work with Dementia UK to provide Admiral Nurses, a service that offers specialist support, information and advice.

They work in partnership with Dementia UK to provide Admiral Nurses – a specialist service helping the Armed Forces community and their families living with dementia.  They know that when you’re caring for someone with dementia it can be hard to find the time to look after yourself. The Admiral Nurses are there to support you, and those you’re caring for, to get the help you need.

They offer telephone support, and home visits can also be arranged if required.

To request support please call the freephone number – 0808 802 8080, or email for help looking after a loved one with dementia.
